When I was a child vapor rub was the magic cure all. Seriously. I lived with a vaporizer in my room nightly. Of course it was also slathered all over my chest, feet and under my nose. I have a bad obsession with vapor rub. I adore the smell of it. Or am I just smelling my childhood? A point could be made on that. Now that essential oils are part of my daily life. I was excited to find this recipe . Maybe your Seeking a less chemically relief.
6 drops Eucalyptus , 3 drops peppermint and 3 drops lemon. Mix with coconut oil. Rub on chest. I personally don’t use 6 drops of Eucalyptus for children I just use 3.

I know this is random, but I needed to post to save it, and who knows maybe you have a lice emergency and this is perfect timing.
I have a friend who,( no really...it's a friend. I've been, there done that ) whose child is a lice magnet. Holy cow. We have tried a few ideas. Today we used 4 drops of Thyme, 4 drops of Lavender, 2 drops of Geranium and added some almond oil carrier. Found this recipe in the Desk reference book. Then because we can, we kinda combed her hair with Thieves. I may have done a little spell that went something like die little bugs die. Catchy tune. Now I know when my kids were small we used a several different things. We were using the commercial stuff so often it was starting to burn their heads. I know you are not supposed to use it that much, but dang these kids needed to get back to school. Crazy me would put peanut butter on the scalp, sit with a shower cap on while watching some cartoons and then rinse with vinegar. Vinegar is the trick you guys, it loosens the glue that hold the eggs on . EWWW. well we also slathered scalps with mayonnaise too. I really thought I was going to lose my mind over these bugs. I went to a little natural store and they told me to try tea tree oil. Good god that stuff stinks. I know it has great benefits, but plug my nose. Many years later I still just cant. I don't know what worked but ours were gone. Fingers crossed, that this little combo I posted above works. Do you have any home remedies that work? If you need any oils I know a gal-----> https://getoiling.com/greenangela What's in your diffuser today? It's Tuesday and I need to be productive. Wednesday is trash day and honestly I forgot last week, so I still have last weeks trash and now this weeks trash. Joy. Lots of paperwork to go through so a mental helper is welcome. I have such a problem throwing out paper. Today I found bank statements from 2002. Ugh. Well business expenses need to held for 10 years, right. So I kinda have a reason. I'm just off by 5 years. Purge purge purge. How hubby and I owned several like 15-16 rental homes and let's just say a paperwork nightmare. Business sold and yet I have all this. I need to take some responsibility for my thousands of little scraps of notes. Haha. Ok maybe not thousands, but defiantly ideas, thoughts, and strategies. I've got quite a workout for the recycling center team today. I need a better system that's for sure. What are your problem areas? .
Let's help each other. I recommend as you get Lemongrass and rosemary essential oils . They are one of my favorite blends the mental boost they give me is amazing. Go ahead oils, do your magic ! Www.getoiling.com/greenAngela #youngliving #rosemary #lemongrass #diffuserblends #greensoulwellness #essentialoils #cleaning Oregano is a powerful oil. It's also a hot oil. Oh yeah. It's hot. Please heed my advice and use a carrier oil. I generally use coconut oil because it's so universal. Other oils like almond or jojoba are also acceptable. I have been researching this oil as I've heard many good things about how it kills germs (Awesome study here --->>>www.hindawi.com/journals/ecam/2011/690346/
Upper respiratory and coughs can be greatly reduced with oregano. This is my go to recipe if your ready to clear out the germs. I place it all in a roller ball and roll it on my feet, spine, & chest. It's stinky. You will sleep alone. Do not wear this to work, you may be sent home. If you want to diffuse it, obviously do not add the carrier oil. It will clog up your diffuser.
Orally. This is often a touchy subject. You need to do your own research on the benefits and/or risks of using oils this way. I put the above mixture in a gel capsule. But only if you have a top-grade, pure, ingestible form of oregano essential oil or oil of oregano. This method can provide immediate relief of your cold symptoms. First of all I need that coffee mug! Refueling, is exactly what I do all day. Although this is a politics free page. I'm from Michigan and I'm still waiting for election results. #sleepy is an understatement, gonna need that coffee today. Cinnamon bark essential oil is a wonderful addition to hot chocolate or coffee. It's like how everyone loves pumpkin in the fall, I am just a little obsessed with cinnamon. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. a drop, oh no, way too much. This packs a punch. Use the tooth pick trick. Trust me. I also use this trick with Peppermint essential oil. ~ Thanks for the tip Oiloftheday.com

A whole bottle, using a toothpick worth at a time, will last a super long time. #coffee #cinnamonbark #essentialoils #youngliving#morningboost #refueling. #michigan#greensoulwellness I've been carrying a little more stress than I should the last few weeks. I believe I have allowed some openings for a bug to get past my immune system. Yes the door was unlocked and the germs moved in. Just great. Lots of sneezing and wheezing going on. Well in my house we don't reach for over the counter meds, often. I'm not saying never, I'm saying, I find an alternative when ever possible. I have found using the oils has greatly helped me and my family. and I enjoy passing the information along. This is the essential oil recipe that I use. For immune system support.
Alternative would be to fill a vegetable capsule with it. (you can purchase these at health food stores) My method is to take the capsule 2 times a day with a meal and a glass of water. Or every 3-4 hours to lessen the severity of the illness. Not to exceed over a week. I only recommend using Young Living Essential Oils or if the company you are using states that the oil can be used internally. Not all oils can. I use this when I am at home and am able to make the capsules. Another alternative is to diffuse the combination. It certainly doesn't smell nice, but the object here is to get any airborne germs out of your living space. The oregano is less than heavenly, ha ha. *** I have seen a few other recipes which add 2-3 drops of frankincense, I personally do not. *** I am an independent rep for Young Living and if you would like more information about the essential oils you can use this link Green Angela's Essential Oil Shop If you would like to see the entire product line this link will direct you |
