I haven’t had to deal with bribes at the grocery store in a very long time. Today I took my grandson (who just turned 1 last week) to the grocery store. He wasn’t being fussy or anything I just thought I’d give him something to do. Here hold the avocados (which are actually a fruit and not a veggie). I guess he was hungry. Haha. He didn’t seem nearly as bothered by it, as the store did. I paid for it. But boy did I get the “looks”. I am placing it in the win column as we didn’t leave with candy. It’s all good we will just have Guacamole for snack today. What has your child eaten at the store? Please tell me I’m not alone.

i ordered these itty bitty bottles with metal roller balls. Oh my these are tiny (5ml) but you know actually these are the perfect size. I always have the 10ml bottles filled with my favorites, but I think I like this size better. I’m waiting on new labels (waterproof./oilproof = no more smudged ink). But I made up this quick one yesterday for one of my educators. It’s my sickie blend of lemon, Eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, & marjoram . Topped with a blended carrier oil. (Sunflower, almond, grape, sesame, wheat germ, olive and fractioned coconut oil. I’ve got extra if you don’t mind the brother machine made label. Haha. I don’t mind these types of Growing pains, but I do like nice labels.
These bagels keep coming up on my newsfeed and I figured I’d give them a try. Pretty easy to make. (Recipe ) I can’t say they were the prettiest bagels ever made Haha. But I have learned it is easier to just make a ball and then make a hole. Or no hole and they are more biscuit like. They are bagel like, if your low carbing and need your bagel fix, these will help. What’s missing? Yes the everything bagel topping. Apparently Trader Joe’s carries this (I don’t have one) or Amazon. What have I learned: easy to make, no crazy ingredients, I’m impatient with making a rope like dough, 12 minutes and voila bagelish bagels. Will I make again? Yes I probably will. I am in search of the everything bagel topping. Although you could make your own. Toasting ? Well mine were not toastable. But I bet my next batch will be. Almond butter, cream cheese, Kerrygold butter. Oh. The possibilities. Low carb maven’s~. Recipe
#ketobagels #lowcarbbagels #lchf #morningbiscuits When I was a child vapor rub was the magic cure all. Seriously. I lived with a vaporizer in my room nightly. Of course it was also slathered all over my chest, feet and under my nose. I have a bad obsession with vapor rub. I adore the smell of it. Or am I just smelling my childhood? A point could be made on that. Now that essential oils are part of my daily life. I was excited to find this recipe . Maybe your Seeking a less chemically relief.
6 drops Eucalyptus , 3 drops peppermint and 3 drops lemon. Mix with coconut oil. Rub on chest. I personally don’t use 6 drops of Eucalyptus for children I just use 3. I'm tired of shopping. Seriously I have been on the search locally for some MCT oil. I found a few places (like 2) but the gas I spent searching for it certainly didn't create any savings for me. I always forget that I have an account at Thrive Market where I could've just sat in my pj's and ordered. I'm doing that right now and I found some coupons, so if you need them just click away :)
go.thrv.me/SH6Ps 20% off your first 3 orders go.thrv.me/SH6Py any order over $29 gets a free breakfast blend coffee. <--- that's what I'm getting :) Who needs some organic tea tree oil (see my blog post about LICE, eek ) here is a coupon for a free bottle go.thrv.me/SH6Q2 If I find anymore I will post them here. I love thrive market and how they break down different diet plans too so if your #paleo or #keto or #gluetenfree or just looking for healthy ingredients it's all categorized for you. Here is a link to check it out Thrive ---> go.thrv.me/SH2XO I think that should work, I'm just a tad techy challenged. *** Disclosure I think I get about .25 cents for your purchase, so if you all could help out the retirement account that would be great. I know this is random, but I needed to post to save it, and who knows maybe you have a lice emergency and this is perfect timing.
I have a friend who,( no really...it's a friend. I've been, there done that ) whose child is a lice magnet. Holy cow. We have tried a few ideas. Today we used 4 drops of Thyme, 4 drops of Lavender, 2 drops of Geranium and added some almond oil carrier. Found this recipe in the Desk reference book. Then because we can, we kinda combed her hair with Thieves. I may have done a little spell that went something like die little bugs die. Catchy tune. Now I know when my kids were small we used a several different things. We were using the commercial stuff so often it was starting to burn their heads. I know you are not supposed to use it that much, but dang these kids needed to get back to school. Crazy me would put peanut butter on the scalp, sit with a shower cap on while watching some cartoons and then rinse with vinegar. Vinegar is the trick you guys, it loosens the glue that hold the eggs on . EWWW. well we also slathered scalps with mayonnaise too. I really thought I was going to lose my mind over these bugs. I went to a little natural store and they told me to try tea tree oil. Good god that stuff stinks. I know it has great benefits, but plug my nose. Many years later I still just cant. I don't know what worked but ours were gone. Fingers crossed, that this little combo I posted above works. Do you have any home remedies that work? If you need any oils I know a gal-----> https://getoiling.com/greenangela I should feel very thankful and be counting my blessings, but ya know what I’m not. I’m not feeling like a real inspirational coach this morning. Sometimes it just has to be said and dealt with. Not everyday is rainbows and unicorns- it’s true. The holidays can be hard on people. Let your self have the emotions you are having and then it's time to let it go. I'm giving you this moment and then it's gone. Well untill the next moment comes and then we are back full circle huh? It's not about letting go, it's not about moving on, acknowledge it, whatever that it is. The problem starts when you are stuck there and are not moving forward. I'm not saying forget, just moving forward. Peace everyone
So this bullet proof coffee hasn’t exactly won me over. I’ve been low carbing, not really on purpose but it’s just happening by default. I’m back to very little processed food. Although I’m eating a lot of meat and veggies, more veggie than meat but you get the idea. Have you tried this? I’m starving. I talked it over with some people of many different minds. I like to keep a diverse circle. One thing was a common thought was that I’m dehydrated and/or I’m not eating enough fats. Insert. Have you tried bpc? Bullet proof coffee. Nope. It’s not going to help with dehydration but you will get your fats. Basic recipe is a tablespoon of organic butter (I used kerrygold from local Kroger’s), tablespoon of heavy whipping cream and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Add this to your hot coffee. I used my hand held immersion blender. Hmmm. This is a Different coffee experience. Stay tuned. We will discuss this more.
Another recipe is honey cinnamon and coconut oil. No cream or sugar. I like my coffee cream. Not sure I can do this one I’m sharing this great recipe for V8 juice
I just pack the cup (I use a ninja blender ) and blend. It’s a great alternative to buying store bought I haven’t been working much, with this still lovely broken hand. Ugh. I feel it’s never ending. My pecking of the keyboard is getting much better. I met with a client a few weeks ago and luckily is done via Skype and I recorded it so I could come back to it and type it up for her file. I don’t love Skype but it’s growing on me and right now I don’t have a lot of alternatives, since I have this broken wing. Improvising is really what it’s all about isn’t it? Well anyways. I have this client who was telling me about her recent weightloss break through. Fat bombs. I agree with the idea. I just don’t know that I needed it. She spoke of not only weight loss but mental clarity. Hmmm. I’ll do a secondary post about these gems. But first. The actual fat bombs. The spooky ways of Facebook presented me with a video one day. I swear I saved it but it’s lost. Algorithms are creepy. Anyhow I tried to make some. Ummm nope. I made this sugary type gooo. I can’t remember all the ingredients but I did it along with her and it turned out a mess. Coconut oil, coconut butter, coconut creme, peanut butter, stevia, and ... I feel I’m missing something. Anyways. I froze them in my fancy pampered chef herb keepers and.... Tada. Gooo. Oh I ate one with a spoon hmmm. I think I need to make a proper one, before I pass judgement. #fatbombs #fatbombfail
