I love collecting jars. I never know what to do with them, but none the less I have jars. I store my craft supplies in them. Buttons, tiles, beads, bottle caps. It's organized craft hoarding. Pickle jars are a popular size in my collection so that's what I started with. The chatted up a lady at Joanne's craft store about this paint. I didn't want chalkboard paint, or glossy enamel, but it needed to stick to glass and be matte. She suggested this. (Thank you nice lady it was exactly what I wanted). I decided to make fake labels, so I just masked the off an area with tape and painted. These are not perfect labels. Who cares. I needed a second paint to actually write the label, which I didn't buy. Update later
. Ta-da. Jars with labels. Now for the herb garden. I used some pebbles from my garden walk (shhh don't tell hubby). And some tiny broken tiles for drainage. It's a must have. Something for drainage. Your herbs will not grow. Potting soil was next and then I purchased some stater herbs. Today I used cilantro and cinnamon basil. Seeds will work to, but I'm impatient. I wanted the full effect today. Next time seeds. So now I just added the plants, water and a sunny spot. You can do this. It's easy. Who has a project for all these lids I will have left over?

It's been a summer of heat. I know, I post alot about infused water, but I really just get so tired of regular water. This actually encourages me to buy fruit too. So if I have it on hand, I will eat it. If I don't I wont. This summer has been really hot and dehydration can be very dangerous. So what does every newscaster say DRINK YOU WATER. Water, water, water. I took the boredom out of my water today and made a big pitcher with strawberries, cucumbers and lemon slices. Some of the comments and messages I've received on the facebook page which you can visit here---> GREEN SOUL WELLNESS FB *Lemon-Orange *Lemon-Lime *Blueberry-Orange-Mint leaves and Lemon I personally like the cucumber and lemon. What's your favorite combination? (repossted from 8/20) I sure think so, I have been trying to beat the heat this week. decided to try some detox infused water Some good points are that it will help keep the calories down, reduce my soda intake (lose the chemicals) and that bloaty look and feeling from the weather. It's been a lifesaver
My infused water has lemon, lime and cucumber and a drop of Young Living Peppermint oil. (Oh gosh don't do two drops its potent!) My friend Carol has cucumber, mint leaves and berries. (Maybe she will comment what they were, I forgot.) And thanks to my daughter Cassandra. I use my infused glass bottle from Oakland University (Michigan) All the time. Gave one to Carol because Sharing is Caring ;) What combinations will you come up with? |
