This has been quite the experience for me. Just the act of being. It's hard. I recently completed an exercise that went like this. Place 3 raisins in front of you, set a timer for 2 minutes. chew each raisin within that time. Seriously. Do not think of anything but the food. Well Let me start with I didn't have raisins I had 3 cookies. (hey hey now this is a no judgment zone.) continuing on, this was hard. First it was hard because I kept thinking I have to report back that I used cookies in a whole foods class and well yeah some guilt came with that. Maybe I will lie? no I'm just going to tell the truth. This process isn't working for me because I just keep thinking about stuff. These are not raisins, how much time is 2 minutes? Why does it taste funny? oh great now it's stuck in my broken tooth cavity. I pretty sure I cannot sit still and eat something and not think for 2 minutes. I've got some work to do with this mindfulness. Go ahead and try it, report back.
